Sections: 1) Dedicated supplication for Palestine (English and Malay) | 2) Dua Qunut Nazilah

In these devastating times where we witness unimaginable oppression in Palestine, feeling heartbroken and helpless is a natural response that people worldwide share when we see the continuous loss of innocent lives, systematic destruction of homes, and forced displacement of families.

In our state of profound grief, making dua becomes not just an act of worship but a powerful source of hope and spiritual resistance, as Allah s.w.t. reminds us that no prayer goes unheard, and no tear falls without His knowledge. Our consistent duas serve as a spiritual lifeline, connecting hearts across borders and reinforcing our shared humanity, whilst demonstrating our trust in Allah's perfect timing and wisdom. Through persistent dua, we not only seek Allah's intervention for our Palestinian brothers and sisters but also maintain hope, strengthen our own spiritual resilience, and fulfil our moral obligation to stand against oppression and injustice, remembering that the dua of the oppressed is never rejected by Allah s.w.t. While we may feel helpless, we are never truly powerless as long as we have the ability to raise our hands in dua to the Most Merciful, the Most Just, seeking liberation, dignity, and justice for all of humanity regardless of faith or background.

1) Dedicated supplication for Palestine (English and Malay)

Suitably recited after every fard (five daily obligatory) and sunnah (voluntary) prayer. Source: MUIS.

In English

O Allah, the All-Hearing Lord who hears every whisper of His servants’ hearts, grant us Your forgiveness, for indeed, we are Your servants who often forget and make mistakes. Forgive our past and future sins, those committed intentionally and unintentionally, the small and few and the vast akin to the oceans. And do not let these sins become a barrier that prevents our prayers from being accepted.

O Lord who answers the supplications of His servants, on this blessed day and moment, we bow with sincerity and humility, pleading for a portion of Your mercy, O Most Merciful. Help our oppressed brothers and sisters wherever they may be, especially in Gaza and Palestine.

O Allah, O Mannan, lighten their burdens, protect them from violence and harm, heal those who are sick and wounded, and provide sustenance for those who are hungry and thirsty.

O Latif, O Hannan, envelop them in Your mercy, place them within Your divine love, and strengthen their spirits with faith in Your assistance.

O Allah, O Dzal ‘Izzi was-Sultan, replace their fear with peace, their hardship with ease, their anxiety with calmness, and their sorrow with joy.

O Allah, our Lord, grant us goodness in this world, and grant us also goodness in the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Hellfire.

2) Dua Qunut Nazilah

The recent heartbreaking events in Palestine call our attention to recite dua Qunut Nazilah, and to all victims of oppression, disasters and unfortunate events around the world.

Meaning (in English):

O Allah, we seek Your help and ask for Your guidance, and seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance. We believe in You and place our trust in You. We praise You with all goodness. We thank You and do not deny Your blessings. We renounce and abandon those who disobey You.

O Allah, You alone we worship, and to You we pray and strive. We hope for Your mercy, and we fear Your punishment.

O Allah, we seek refuge in You from severe trials, from misery, from unpleasant fate, and from the gloating of enemies.

O Allah, we seek refuge in You from the loss of Your blessings, the absence of Your protection, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all forms of Your wrath.

O Allah, ward off from us affliction, plague, earthquakes, and calamities—both apparent and hidden—from our country specifically and from all countries generally, O Lord of the worlds.

O Allah, grant aid to our weak and oppressed brothers in Gaza, in Palestine, and everywhere in general, O Most Merciful of the merciful. O Allah, remove the darkness and the evil of the oppressors from them. O Allah, replace their fear with peace, their sorrow with joy, and their distress with relief.

O Allah, we ask You for safety and security, and peace and harmony, throughout the entire world and for all people. Our Lord, grant us goodness in this world and goodness in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire. And may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and companions. All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
